Brands We’re Loving On Social Media This Valentine's Day
According to Social Media Today, 22% of the world’s population use Facebook, and 76% of those users logged in every day in 2016. On any given day, Snapchat reaches 41% of 18-34 year olds in the US and 81% of Millennials check Twitter at least once a day. Okay, we get it: social media is the best way for brands to directly reach consumers.
Our solution has enabled some of the world’s largest brands to increase positive sentiment on their social media ads and organic posts by over 8x in the last year. Now we’re realizing that people are sharing a lot more love for brands when there aren’t malicious internet trolls harming the conversations.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we want to share some love from our team at BrandBastion. Check out these brands that we think are doing exceptionally well on social media right now...
HBO
Several months ago HBO created a YouTube series called This Or That. The series features actors and actresses being featured in upcoming films, answering ‘this or that’ style questions. For example, in one episode James Franco asks Bryan Cranston , “Hide your feelings about your daughter’s boyfriend or tell the truth?” in promoting the romantic comedy Why Him? One of our favorite episodes was the most recent with Zach Galifianakis and Will Arnett for The LEGO Batman Movie!
Taco Bell
Who says video content is only for influencers? Taco Bell has also released a new YouTube series recently called The Taco Bell Clip Show, with new episodes being released every Thursday. The series highlights different taco bell fans doing things from using burritos for contouring to bringing talking puppets through the drive thru. The show’s host, Chris, aka Cheesier Than a Quesadilla, wears a shirt that says “If you’re a burrito, I’m a burrito”... we swoon every time.
Wix
Wix’s social media is so creative it’s hard to pick just one thing they’re killing it at right now. From a diverse and informative blog to frequent posts about company culture, Wix is always engaging their fans. But right now Wix is really excelling when it comes to creating branded graphics for their Facebook page. Our favorites have been the Pre-Valentine’s Day, Australia Day, and Patriots Super Bowl posts. Oh and their Excuse Generator for the Monday following The Super Bowl? Genius.
American Airlines
American Airlines regularly features AA Team Members on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. But right now AA has their FB cover photo changed to an image of Scott Davenport, a Fleet Service Clerk who has worked for AA at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for 32 years. We love the emphasis AA puts on showcasing the people behind the corporation.
Sephora
Sephora’s newest social media campaign, #NeverStop features women of all ages, races and backgrounds feeling like their best selves by wearing beauty products tailored to each individual’s personality. This message of self-positivity and female empowerment is definitely something we can get behind.
Zara
Having a consistent social media design flow can be difficult - this isn’t the days of Myspace where you could easily personalize the layout of your profile. Nowadays your posts need to speak for themselves but also speak towards the overall look and feel of your brand. Zara has perfected this idea, and we love the way their Facebook page is looking.
H&M
H&M’s outfit pairing photos make us feel majorly inspired. With outfits created for both men and women, and paired by color, taste, and season - we’re always left looking for the “Shop Now” CTA.
Nike
Nike released a new line of t-shirts that read “Equality” to promote the idea that if we can be equals in sport, we can be equals everywhere. They’re urging customers to support for Equality on social media by downloading the Equality avatar and changing their profile picture. Brands standing up for causes they believe in are brands worth standing behind.
Chipotle
Like HBO and Taco Bell, Chipotle has also released a new video series called, Sharpened Skills. Though this isn’t actually Chipotle’s first series! The Mexican restaurant chain also aired several other series in the last year such as Process Not Processed and Ingredients Reign. We love how Chipotle keeps customers so informed on how the food is made and where it comes from.
Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban has officially discovered the key to selling something while being both informative and entertaining. The sunglasses company has been posting funny days of the year posts, which showcase different ‘holidays’ like White T-Shirt Day and Ice Cream For Breakfast Day, all through the lens of a different pair of Ray-Ban glasses. We’ll take one of each, please!
In addition to these brands listed, there are many more that are killing it on social media! Social media managers and marketers work hard all year long to provide customers with fun and engaging content. So to all of you commenting on brands' social feeds out there, remember to show some love to your favorite brands every now and then. ;)
